I read on other forums that it needs to be documentarily qualified first before they put you in line for a schedule.

I'm also waiting. I saw some people getting DQed in 5 calendar days.

 

You can also check the NVC timeframes. It gives you an idea. By these dates are a reference only, there's a good change that it will be sooner:

My son got DQ this morning. He submitted his docs to NVC 01/22. We got an email this morning they are working with Embassy to schedule interview

22 May 2015 -- Delivered to Chicago Lockbox
27 May 2015 -- NOA1 Notification via text/e-mail (transferred MSC)

05 June 2015 --Biometrics Appointment letter (appt June 15, 2015)
15 June 2015 --Successful Biometrics Walk In - Completed
22 June 2015 -- Case is Ready to be schedule for an interview
29 July 2015 -- Text/Email EAD/Travel Doc Approved 
11 Aug 2015 -- Card Mailed EAD/AP
13 Aug 2015 -- EAD/AP received

20 Aug 2015 -- Lazy agent did not submit application on Aug 13 reapplied SSN

26 Aug 2015 -- Received SSN in the mail

30 Dec 2015 -- Interview Scheduled (Feb 4, 2016)

04 Feb 2016 -- Interview (Approved)

You can check current processing times for that here - https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/immigrate/nvc-timeframes.html

 

It's usually super quick, then it's just the wait for an interview, and that varies hugely depending on the consulate.

Right now they are still working on the cases on Jan 31, 2024...so I just need to wait...and another long wait for the interview date because its taking too long in the Philippines

I don’t know if Manila is one of the consulates that’s quick (3 months ish) or super slow (2 years +), or somewhere in between for an interview.

 

But yes, now you’re just waiting for the IL, assuming no RFE and you get DQ’ed soon.
