I am currently applying for tourist visas for a relative. I am about to pick the interview appointment date.

In the entire process of applying it never said anywhere how long the Visas were valid for.

Web searches say US tourist visas are Valid for 10 years with a 6 month maximum stay.

Just wanted someone to confirm this and make sure is this the case for all B1/B2 visas from all countries and that there is no other technicality.

How long a visa is issued is a variable. Depends on country and maybe the case.

Stay is usually 6 months but is determined by the PoE. Normally 6 moths could be a day.

You can't really plan around that.  They'll get what they get, and expecting to be allowed to stay for 6 months when coming from a high fraud country may be expecting too much.

It’s on a case by case basis. Distant relatives of mine (a family) applied for B2 visas to visit, while the parents received theirs with a validity of 10 years, their son (19 years old) got it only with 1 year validity. I believe the daughter (14 years old) got a 5 year visa. They didn’t really mind, their plan was to visit for 3 weeks anyway.

Web searches say US tourist visas are Valid for 10 years - it varies depending on consulate and circumstances

with a 6 month maximum stay - it also varies as it's up IO to determine your length of stay. However, IO usually gives 6 months.
