Delay NVC for IR1 v CR1

Hi All,

I am sure this has been asked before with the delays from USCIS these days but I could not find a concrete answer.

My wife and I had our I130 approved Thursday, February 16th. We are now at the NVC stage.

Our 2 year wedding anniversary is January 14th, 2024 and with all I have read about trying to remove conditions and what a head ache that is both financially and mentally.

Is it possible for us to delay the NVC stage/ Interview or request an interview later so that I may enter after our 2 year wedding anniversary?

Thanks,

Mark

You still have to get through that NVC process and get an interview. From the interview, you will have 6 months from the date of the medical for your partner to come across the border. You just have to cross the border after your 2 year anniversary. We did 2 years +1 day.

It is easier to not have to remove conditions. WAY easier.
