I-864 Dependent Question

I'm trying to figure out if my parents who I list as dependents (they do not live with me) need to fill out i-864a or not, the instruction is a bit confusing to me, I'm not planning to use my parents income and my income alone is comfortably above any limit. is filling out the i-864A only required if their income is included?

If you meet the income requirements alone with all your listed dependents and are not depending on anyone else's income, you should not need any I864As.
