Happened last year.  Think we already had a thread about it, but maybe not; may have seen it on another forum.  IIRC, he hung himself as well as shot himself in the chest with a shotgun.

Notice the difference in the details... in the story in the OP, someone found MM "sitting at the base of a tree".  In the story below, from June of last year, he was found hanging from said tree.  And for those not in the know, it's exceptionally difficult to shoot oneself in the chest with a normal shotgun.  And impossible to shoot oneself, while hanging, then cause your shotgun to go missing.  Just sayin'...
