Received a message saying I need a co sponsor. Do I have to upload co sponsor information in order to get an appointment? Or can I submit those documents at time of interview.

I only  have 2 years worth of US based income returns as I only returned to the US 2 years ago. They are saying I don't meet the minimum income requirement and to get a co sponsor.

It says in the message the person doing the interview will make a final decision. Do I add the documents to NVC now or wait until my husband goes to the interview?

Unless the spouse is coming from India, if you think your current income qualifies, just ignore the message, but....first, read it again carefully and I'm sure you will find you have partially misinterpreted it.  It does not say you need a cosponsor.  You won't find either the word "need" or the word "cosponsor" in the message.  Instead you'll see "may" and "joint sponsor".  This is a stock message.  You would not get it unless the income from the last tax return does not meet the minimum.  You'll get it even if your current income is well over the needed amount, or even if you used a million bucks in liquid assets to qualify.

Just an update on this. If anyone receives this message, it is not a stock message.

I have to upload the documents now before being DQ’d and not at the time of interview.

I emailed the NVC and today they responded that I needed to upload co- sponsor documents. So one month was wasted. I should have uploaded the documents when I received the message. 😢

When you ask the wrong question, you get a wrong answer.  If you asked "When do I upload?"  The answer would be "now".  That message definitely IS a stock message.  The word "may" in the sentence about the joint sponsor is the first key.  Second is that the Consular Officer will make the decision.

From numerous experiences with that message, I'm absolutely confident that it is "stock".

In December I submitted AOS and tax returns. I was rejected because half of the income I made was foreign income and not enough US income.

on my 2022 return I make the required income. I tried submitting another another AOS but I’m not able to delete the previous one.

can I add another AOS in additional documents section along with 2022 tax return?

Did you already get the email and/or CEAC inbox message that says your case is Documentarily Qualified (DQ)?

No. I got a message saying that I didn’t meet the income requirements and to get a joint sponsor. I don’t have anyone who’s willing to be a joint sponsor so I waited until I filed my 2022 tax returns to try again.
