From the timelines I have seen, it seems k1 visas are processed way faster than the spousal visa, how can someone be waiting for a year and 6 months after getting DQ, it’s ridiculous.

Currently they seem to be about the same, what the future brings time will tell.

“If you know the enemy and know yourself, you need not fear the result of a hundred battles. If you know yourself but not the enemy, for every victory gained you will also suffer a defeat. If you know neither the enemy nor yourself, you will succumb in every battle.”

VJ data says it isn’t  even close to being the same. CR-1 is faster.

For Nigeria it's the same time. So no it's not faster for many embassies. USCIS processing is much longer. And after approval getting interview dates is quite daunting.

We are talking from filing to interview. K1 doesn't have DQ.

filing to interview is not quite what happens to many petitions

after interview,   the AP added time is not taken into account in USCIS  figures or here (as not petitioner joins VJ

and 221g or NOID/NOIR  added long times to a petition

many from high fraud countries think K1 is faster but then the case is denied and the USC has to decide to marry and file spouse visa adding years to a K1????

and FAST  does not exist in immigration no matter which petition is filed

I think you are not understanding what you are seeing.  Overall timeframes are close to two years for both visa types.   I-129f alone takes 15.5 months for approval.   NVC/consulate easily brings it to two years.

Have you personally been waiting over a year for an interview after DQ? My husband and I have been DQ since January 31.

I got DQ February 8 last month , so we both got to wait for a long time, from what I’m seeing and hearing, it’s gonna be a long wait, sad!
