Not if OP hasn't filed N400, which they haven't.  So its still dependent on the service center.

I don't think so.  Once a case status changes to "Case is ready to be scheduled for an interview", the local office comes into play.

This is nice. Less than six months.

Had we not filed the N-400, who knows how long it would have taken for the I-751 approval.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

Not sure if OP's I-751 case is in that state.  OP can confirm.  The vast majority of I-751 cases don't require interview assuming N-400 doesn't get filed.

USCIS certainly has a lot of discretion with I-751 interviews.

Hi guys,

Lin seens to be working on July and Aungust 2021. Am I the only one waiting for ROC June 2021.

While cases are generally first-in-first-out, it's not a perfect system. We filed in Feb 2021 and didn't get approved until they were working on March 2021 cases.

Unless you need an interview, it's the service center that determines the speed of your case processing. In other words if your status is Fingerprints Taken/Reused, the case is probably sitting at the service center. If it says Ready for Interview to be Scheduled, then your case will wait until the field office can schedule an interview. Of course, none of this is an exact science given that the online case tracking isn't perfect and the general random element of USCIS.

Not much you can do other than wait...

I don't intend to file for N-400. I already had an interview for I-485 with my wife. So I'm assuming we don't need another interview.

Although rare, it CAN happen. We were one of the *lucky* couples who had to both an AOS and ROC interview. No red flags, no RFEs, nothing weird. Our ROC interview was like 5 minutes and we weren't asked anything strange. Who knows why we had to do both--I think we were randomly selected in my opinion. It's happened to a few others as well.

We did not apply for N400, and we still have not since my husband does not want to be a USC. Total time from filing to getting the green card was 18 months.

I got a response today after an SR request that indicates my case is held for additional review. I don't know if it's one of those generic responses to close the SR  or if it truly held for additional review. The  wait continues.

I wonder what "additional review" even means......

been here in the states since high school.

Probably that's the reason your case is scrutinized a bit more. Also, are you still married and was it a joint I-751 petition?
