Breaking news from CNN this week: women are officially past their prime in their 50s. Although, it’s possible that they age out of their prime in their 40s. It’s not entirely clear. Maybe try asking Google about it.

 

These thoughts are brought to you courtesy of 56-year-old CNN anchor Don Lemon, who is paid millions of dollars a year to share his wisdom with the world. Lemon was doing a segment about Republican Nikki Haley, who launched her campaign for president this week with a call for Americans to put their faith in a “new generation” of political leaders. In a blatant dig at both Joe Biden (80) and Donald Trump (76), Haley said in an event in Charleston that “our politicians are past their [prime]” and called for “mental competency tests” for politicians over the age of 75. This didn’t go down well with Lemon who launched into a misogynistic rant about 51-year-old Haley’s age.

 

“This whole talk about age makes me uncomfortable,” Lemon said on Thursday morning. “I think it’s the wrong road to go down,” he added before immediately setting off at full speed down that road himself. “She says people, you know, politicians or something are not in their prime. Nikki Haley isn’t in her prime, sorry … If you Google when a woman is her prime it will say 20s and 30s and maybe 40s.”

Lemon, who was forced to make a groveling apology to CNN staffers on Friday after making offensive remarks about women and aging, had been scheduled to anchor This Morning alongside co-hosts Poppy Harlow and Kaitlan Collins, according to a copy of the CNN anchor schedule obtained and reviewed by Confider.

But by Sunday afternoon a new on-air lineup schedule was sent out by CNN management that had the show being anchored by Harlow and Sara Sidner in New York with Collins in Poland, according to two people familiar with the matter.

I have to say that as I am closing in on my late 30s (I maintain that 37 is still mid-30s) that I feel far more together than I ever have before. In my prime, so to speak. But what I hear from older colleagues and relatives is that 40s are even better than 30s, and that what I am starting to feel now gets even better. I am good with that! 

 

Frankly, and nothing to do with his politics, but I think Don Lemon has zero business saying when a woman is or is not in her prime. A woman is in her prime when she tells you she feels in control of her life, confident and excited to crack on with the business of life. This could very well last for decades, much like it does for men.

It will be interesting as to how CNN handles this.  Don Lemon is a heavily protected person given his identity categories as defined by the Left.  Personally, I hope he is allowed to stay, I really do not want the voices on the Left silenced.

Don is an idiot and always has been. He's made misogynistic comments for years and his behavior toward coworkers is terrible. One of the reasons why Cooper and Cohen were not allowed to drink during the NYE show this year, is because of how out of control Don gets when drinking. If he couldn't drink, then no one could drink. He is not and never has been in his prime. He's washed up.
