Is it unusual to have your interview scheduled so quickly? Our NOA1 date for all of our app's is 6/18/07, I just got 3 more letters today that we have 3 appt's on Aug 14th. We have to do his biometrics at 8am, 9am appt for his work authorization, and a 12:30 p.m. appt for Greencard interview. I'm kinda baffled that this happened so quickly.

Is this normal or should I worry?

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

If I am not mistaken, the AOS interviews are scheduled and conducted at the local field office so I think its more a matter of how behind your local office is. Ours in Fresno wasnt quite as quick as yours but hey wouldnt you have it sooner like this than some of those folks that wait for more than a year?

Yeah I'm definitly happy that we don't have to wait too long especially given the fact that it took 17 months to get our freakin fiance visa. I'm just worried because he has only been here for 2 months and we don't have that much stuff yet to prove our financial ties together, shoot I haven't even changed my name yet! He barely got his SS# a couple of weeks ago, so I just don't know how much proof I'm gonna have at the interview.

Consider yourself lucky. It probably means your local office does nto have a backlog and wer ablel to schedule the interview quickly. The only downside I can see is you haven;t had a long marriage and are just getting your paperwork and documentation together as a couple. So if you haven;t started some mingling of the households starat now (e/g/ bank accounts, unilities, letters address to him at your address etc.)

Well we have started mingling some stuff but not much because as I said, he just got his SS# not so long ago. He is on my bank account now but that is pretty much it except for Costco and the gym which I dont think they care about. Now I have less than a month to get stuff together, I hope I can get it done.

I think they will certainly understand the time frame so don't worry too much. I mean you can't even be expected to have a joint bank account until the social secuity card arrives...so now that it has come make the next step by openign a common account. I think the pattern of how you are progressing is as important as the evidence itself. If you have the interview one year after being married an dall your evidence shows you only added his name to the lease nd back accounts right before the interview that would more suspicious. Time counts. Organize your evidence and it will speak for itself.

Maybe bring some of the pre marriage evidnce also? I mean 17 months waiting for the fiance visa ahs to count for something.
