Many more young people today have no idea about ROI, or the value of money.  I still remember when I was in college laughing at the Humanities majors when they talked about how important their classes were.  I remember asking one, what is your plan to make money after getting their degree, their response was they would keep going to the PhD level and teach.  Probably why there are so many more college students today getting worthless degrees.

 

It is interesting though how this study was done.  Quite a few big name universities are not providing much of a return.  Can they be sued like we see people suing for profit entities?

I got folks working with me that barely finished high school making 200k + a year. They hustle and are good at sales, but probably could not hold down a job at waffle house. A couple of non degree managers probably knocking down 300+.

 

I am old and tired and have no hustle but still do fairly well. Nowhere near their figures but still a decent amoun for what I do. Which mainly consists of sitting around shooting the bull with my co workers.  If I do sell a car it's about 2 hours of non strenuous work.

All I can say is, with his degree, knowledge, and skills my husband still manages to be the most educated in every department he's been in. That has paid off greatly in being able to move up the ladder. He might not get paid the most, but he's certainly holding the department afloat with his bare hands, and they'd have no idea what they'd do without him. It does not really matter if you have a degree or not for this employer unfortunately, everyone complains about the wages, unless you are one of the suits. He still makes more in America than he would back home.

 

I think we have about five more years of the loan to pay off.
