(Vietnamese) K1 Visa Marriage Certificate name order wrong

Hello, I reside in Houston, TX. Fort bend county, and today my fiance and I went to our local county clerk to get our marriage certificate. I handed them my US passport along with my Fiance's Vietnam Passport, and they told me that they have to match the order of her name that is on her passport. So on our marriage certificate it shows her name in the following order (Middle Name, First Name, Last Name). Which is wrong. My name is shown in the correct order. They told me it has to be this way and that it can't be changed. I'm worried that we may have complications when we apply for ssn, greencard, us citizenship, buy a house, opening a joint bank account, etc that her name being in the wrong order will give us problems.

Could someone please help me with this. I'm not sure if this is a normal thing and it can be somehow changed later and not to worry about it. Or is it something we must look into and get it resolved ASAP to avoid future complications?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Yap. I wouldn't carry on with that MC because it will dictate everything going forward.

Why did your wife change her name arrangement on her PP? Did the PP office in Vietnam reverse it?

Solution: Go to closest Vietnamese embassy and get a new PP. Then reapply for a MC. This is the cheapest/ fastest and correct way. Better get this thing sorted out now than cry later while attempting to change multiple documents

She didn't change anything. This is how it was issued to her in Vietnam. That's the order they go by which is different from the US passport.

On a Vietnamese passport the name is in this order <LAST> <MIDDLE1> <MIDDLE2> <FIRST>. So that's how it was printed on our marriage certificate. The county clerk office told me that they had to copy exactly as it was printed in her passport.

See if Utah county, Utah will issue a marriage license the way you want. Of so you can get married online without going to Utah.

How is her name listed in the machine readable code section at the bottom of the passport photo page?

That's how most documents are. So the question is, under her name, does it state which is which? Or just wittten without?

It won't matter.

Apply for AOS in correct order.

She has the right to use her new legal married name moving forward and that means she can use any combination of names on the MC. As long as the name appears on it, she can use it.

Once she has GC presented correctly she can use it obtain anything else.

On her passport, under her name, it is written without specification whether its last, first, middle.

Her name as it appears on her marriage license/certificate is in the same exact order as it appears on her vietnamese passport, which is the wrong order. People mentioned that the order can be corrected when applying for her greencard on the I-485 form. But exactly how do I correct the order? Could someone who has the same problem and was able to fix this, please share exactly how it's done?

Order is NOT RELEVANT.

Why isn't it relevant? I thought the name order needs to be correct or else you will have a lot of problems/confusions later on, such as buying a house, setting up a bank account, etc. Shouldn't the order of her name need to match and be consistent? Ever since she arrived here, her name appears in the wrong order on her marriage license, and social security card. I just want to make sure I do everything correctly to avoid having potential mistakes later on that can cost me a lot of money and are difficult to fix.
