It seems like this batch made it up to about the 3rd week of February 2024.  I saw a report of a February 20 DQ date receiving an interview letter and a February 21 DQ date not receiving one yet.  It's at least promising that they seem to have made more than a months progress in the last month but they still have a long way to go to reduce the backlog.

It's a bit erratic. My stepdaughter was DQ 12th of Feb. She didn't get a letter.

Have you double checked spam, that they have the correct e-mail etc?  I think Feb 12 should have got one.  I haven't seen many complaints of exceptions.  If you wife got an interview date and your stepdaughter did not, then definitely request and expedite for your stepdaughter.  The embassy would almost certainly correct an oversite like that.

Hi can I please know what month this is up to? We where Dq'd July 25th 2024.

I think the latest round of NVC scheduling included DQ dates up until April 2024.  It's also notable that they actually made some progress reducing the backlog.

Ok thank you so much for this hopefully we will be able to get our appointment by January at this pace they are going. When we get out interview do they usually give the passport back with the visa in it or, do we have to have it sent out to our address in the Philippines? How does that work do you know?

Hey guys, we luckily got our expedite and wanted to ask an important question.

We have the time and date ready for our interview and what do we do now? Ive seen all these sites we need to register and whatnot, so we went to the https://www.usvisascheduling.com/

And we made an account and so on, but now when we got to the case number, we get invalid case number, so we are panicking. This question is to those that got it recently.

What where the steps you did? Aside from the Saint Luke appointment.

Hello, husband petitioner is LPR and we got DQ'd on Aug-2023. Our PD got current last November 2024 visa bulletin. Can someone please share when I should expect for interview IL? thank you.

People who dq'd in May just got their IL recently. They seem to be making progress on the back log. So maybe in a few more months maybe by febuary you will have your invitation letter.

We were notified that we were documentarily complete in August 2024.  I received an email today:

Quote

The U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL approved your request for expedited processing of your immigrant visa application. The National Visa Center sent your immigrant visa application to the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL for their action. The Embassy/Consulate General will contact you soon to schedule a visa interview.

I've come to understand the immigration offices do not use the dictionary definition of the word expedite, as in "to speed up", but instead it they use it as a synonym for "to schedule."

(We never requested any sort of special processing, just going through the normal process of an IR-1 visa.)

The last email we received was exactly 4 months ago and said essentially the same thing:

Quote

NVC will work with the U.S. Embassy/Consulate General in MANILA, PHIL to schedule an interview appointment for you. Once we have confirmed an interview date, we will send a notice to you, your petitioner, and attorney (if applicable).

I'm a bit confused because I don't see that the email really says anything.  We know the embassy has our visa application.  We know we are waiting on an interview date from the embassy.  It's also confusing because it implies we will hear from them when they have a confirmed interview date, so I got all excited before I opened the email, only to find the "expediting" nonsense.  But maybe this means something to some of you regarding timelines?  Maybe we will get an interview date somewhat soon?
