My fiance's mailing address is in Madrid but we chose the consulate to be Casablanca's consulate in Morocco because this is his country of citizenship and he is only on student visa in Spain. The nvc sent me today that the case was forwarded to the consulate in Madrid. how do I change it to Casablanca?

Contact the consulate in Casa and ask if they will accept the case.  They will, if acceptable to them, contact Madrid and transfer.

If Casa accepts your request to transfer case for interview,  he needs a criminal report from Spain for the interview so he should request it before he leaves

If interviews in Spain ,  he needs the Spainish police clearance (report) and the 2 from Morocco

  • Police certificate (fiche anthropometrique) and English translation
  • Court record (casier judiciare) and English translation

In Morocco, a police clearance certificate can only be requested from the police office of the applicant's residence district. It is usually issued within 48 hours. For the police certificate to be valid in abroad, it needs to be notarized by the embassy of that country, or by the Moroccan embassy.

Thank you, do i contact the embassy in Casa by phone or email?

Written communication is almost always better than verbal.

this is easier

If you live outside of Morocco:

You can apply at your nearest Moroccan embassy or consulate or by proxy to the local police station (not Service central des casiers judiciaires at Place de la Mamounia in Rabat)

To apply by proxy, you must provide the following documents:

  • A notarized proxy
  • A photocopy of your birth certificate
  • A photocopy of the first page of your passport
  • A photocopy of the page of your passport that shows the date of your most recent entry into Morocco
  • Applicable fees
