Another "bad thing" I used to do a lot is eat lemons.  As a kid, used to have a beautiful lemon tree in our back yard, and all the kids in the neighborhood carried around the little Morton salt shakers in our pockets.  Would eat 1-3 lemons a day most times.  Something my dentists in later years claimed was taboo and terrible for the enamel.

And PLEASE don't tell me you are using chewing tobacco too, or Skoal or whatever...

But I think ice chewing weakens them and creates cracks that later cause breakage.

Bought the fridge (no craft ice maker!) and induction stove yesterday, two things down. Alex had struck up a rapport with the sales manager (this is a recurring theme in my life: I go somewhere with my husband, and by the end he's charmed everyone and I look terminally boring by comparison) and they were talking televisions. Specifically how I am resisting an 85" TV, when Al's reasoning for having one is basically: (1) because it's cool; (2) because I want it; and (3) because I'm a man. Anyway, Al says to the manager something like, you might say when it comes to televisions, I'm a size king. I had to smack his arm -- lightly. (I am not a monster!) 

 

I got him back when we were talking at tedious length about buying an extractor hood for the stove (truly one of the more boring purchases I have made recently, and I had to buy a lot of DayQuil last month) in the President's Day sale. He groaned when I said, "Now is the winter of our discount vents." Well, I thought it was funny if a little too clever/dumb.

reason #4 on the TV - it must be large and high def for optimal game immersion with his new ps5 games.  then he will stay home more often!

He's from the UK, that means everyone wants to be his friend, as it raises an American's street cred by significant points. I defer all TV buying matters to my husband that pretty much was in that field of work for a time (to the point he will go into businesses and severely critique their setups). I have a on the smaller size Sony that I love, but he's been wanting to upgrade it to a 52". He always says don't go too big and don't go too small. 85" may be too much, compromise in the middle?

I thought we had compromised on 75", but when we got back in the store it was suddenly 85" again. We have a 65" one at the moment which seems well-sized for a living room, but he says nope, that is going in his study and a bigger home needs a bigger set. I said his money, his choice. We have a 52" one in the bedroom now and it is a great size. Really hoping that in the new place there is NO TV in the bedroom.
