Has anyone ever had or known of an interview scheduled during Ramadan? Just wondering if the consulates operate regularly or with adjusted hours during this time.

1/17/07: Filed I130

1/26/07: NOA 1

4/9/07: NOA 2

5/22/07: Received DS3032/AOS bill

5/22/07 Sent choice of agent email

5/23/07: Paid AOS fee

6/7/07: Received IV bill

6/8/07: Paid IV bill

6/10/07: IV bill received by NVC

06/15/07: Sent I-864 Packet to NVC

6/28/07: Mailed DS230

7/16/07: Case complete!

Interview: 9/6/07@8:00 a.m.

9/7/07 Visa in hand!!

11/15/07: Green Card Arrives

The hours may change domewhat or not, but interviews are continued. It shouldn;t impact the calendar too much except of course for all the days associated with Eid.

8 April 2009 Biometric notice arrived by mail

24 April 2009 Biometrics scheduled

26 April 2009 Touched

...once again waiting

1 September 2009 (just over 5 months) Approved and card production ordered.

Thanks for the input! Just curious in case we get an interview during this time. The only down side is having a CO who is fasting and cranky. Just our luck.... <_<

Our interview was scheduled just after Ramadan began. Many friends congratulated us b/c it seems many visas are approved during Ramadan - not all, but it does seem to be a lucky time for many interviewees! Good luck if you get scheduled then (well, good luck anytime!).

Wow, maybe because everyone is in the giving spirit during Ramadan?? Hmmmmmmm....I had never thought of it being an advantage. Our case is complete..I am thinking(more like praying) that we will get an interview somewhere around the end of September. Thanks for the encouragment!

I don't believe the majority of COs are Muslim. Many of them are Americans (and most likely of another religion). I dunno about Morocco but from what I've read here it seems that most of the COs there are American.

Im thinking the Morocco agency is Americans (as in not Muslim) and will be their usually "nice" self....good luck :thumbs:
