Obtaining Penal Record (Police Certificate) In Greece

Hi All,

 

I was wondering if anyone has any insight on how long it takes the Ministry of Justice to send a Penal Record for Judicial use to the US Embassy Athens?  How easy was this process for non-Greek citizens residing in Greece?  Does one have to live in Greece for a certain period of time (i.e 6 months) to be eligible to request the penal record?

hi Bob,

 

If memory serves right the penal record gets send to the US embassy, directly, within a few days.

 

Don't know how easy it is to get this document if you are not a greek citizen.
