Were you told why any decision couldn’t be made at the interview?

Probably because of divorce soon after I-751 approval. Perhaps IO needed additional approval from their management. Or maybe just needed more time to check the case thoroughly.

Not really, she said she checked that box because I have to come back for oath.

What date is your interview

In a very interesting turn of events - my local USCIS office called me three days ago to ask if I can attend the oath ceremony two days later (my N400 was approved a month ago, and they were waiting for my ROC to be approved, which was approved in a week after N400 approval). I immediately said, "yes." Within minutes, they emailed me my oath ceremony notice (N-445), which was uploaded even on my USCIS profile after a few hours.

And finally, I am a US citizen. Had my oath ceremony yesterday. The day was special, as my wife and kiddo, as well as my in-laws, attended the ceremony.

Sending you all my best wishes.

God bless America.

Well I am officially a US citizen!   The ceremony was hectic but great!   I registered to vote, updated my info at social security, and yesterday I applied for my passport!  The odd thing is at the passport appointment they wanted my marriage certificate.  I couldn't for the life of me figure out why since my naturalization certificate and drivers license are in my married name but I went and got it at home just in case.

That doesn't sound proper.  I think they screwed up.

But congratulations!!!!  This is a great achievement.

I had my combo interview this morning in San Francisco office. It lasted 25 minutes or less. We were invited by an officer in time, no delays. At first, she went through our I-751 form asking questions about everything that we put there, no additional questions about our relationship. She also didn't ask for any documents. At the end of the application she told us that we signed it wrong. I originally signed it as a petitioner and my husband signed it as a beneficiary but she said it's not the right away and gave us a red pen to resign it next to our original signatures and put a new date on it. Then, she asked for my husband to leave and started a citizenship interview which I passed. She let me sign docs on a tablet regarding how my information is going to be displayed on a naturalization certificate. At the end though she said Congratulations, and gave me a paper saying that 'Decision can't be made' instead of 'Recommended for approval'. She said it's because of I-751, and that next steps will probably be scheduling an Oath ceremony.

I'm a little confused because I double checked after the interview and it looks like we originally signed it correctly, that I am a petitioner for I-751. Or did I get it wrong? I'm a little nervous because of 'Decision can't be made' thing, especially given that she didn't ask me to provide any docs out of a 10-pounder that I printed and brought with me. My statuses still show "Interview was scheduled" for both N-400 and I-751.

Haven't updated for a while.

So I passed the test and on Friday saw an update that said Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed. Checked on my USCIS account it will be on Nov 9th.

I read the notice it didn't mention bringing guest(s). Am I allowed to bring guests? I looked up the address it is like 3-hour drive to there and it is in a courthouse.

I really want my husband and our 4-year-old son to witness that, but first, they didn't mention whether I can bring guests or not. Second, since our son is autistic, so he might not be willing to sit still, I'm afraid they gonna kick us out of the ceremony.

So I might need some advice here. Should I call the field office to ask about that?

I have some movement on my cases. It's been a week since my combo interview. I-751 status changed to "Interview Cancelled And Notice Ordered", and N-400 changed to "Oath Ceremony Will Be Scheduled".
