Yikes, that could be tight! I have only my expired passport but I’m not going to risk renewing it now unless I really have to (then I’ll rush it lol). Is it bad if it’s expired?

I think I'll be fine if they don't reject anything.   I was not happy with my picture but sent it anyway.  There was a small shadow on one side of my neck.  I should have asked the guy to redo it but I didn't at the time.  I don't know why I didn't just ask him to retake it!!

I don't think they will care if it is expired.  I do have an expired one that I can bring but it is not the one I used for the 2 trips I made home over the past 10 years.

I don’t imagine they’ll reject anything. From what I understand, the big deal at this interview is if we can speak English, and if we can pass the civics portion. It should be ok!

I hope they take my passport. I don’t have my original one with the visa in it, because it expired when I went home in 2016 to visit my father (he was sick). I renewed it before I came back, and Canada kept my old one…😬

If they ask just tell them why you don't have it.  It should be fine!  I don't know what I need to bring because I applied for 5 year rule since I had been here so long but maybe I should have did 3 year since I am still married.  I was confused about that.  I'll bring my husbands docs anyway, just in case they ask.

The appointment letter I received had a list of what to bring on it. We just have to find my husband’s birth certificate and we will be all set. The list should be on the second page of the letter, if it helps?

Hey y'all, long time lurker, first time poster!

Filed online February 1, 2023, did my biometics April 27, had my interview June 5 at 7am (!) and was approved immediately.

They offered to let me take the oath same day at 2pm, but I want my partner to come, so I had them schedule it. Got notice June 8th that it's scheduled for July 3rd.

5 months 2 days from filing to the oath ceremony. I'm out of the Portland, Oregon field office, and the estimated processing times have been between 10 and 12 months when I've checked.

Honestly blown away by how quickly it all happened!

This is great to hear. I filed end of Feb for my wife in Portland, but no update yet.

San Francisco filer. I submitted my N-400 on February 11th, had my biometrics shortly after and case has been actively reviewed since March 7th.

I also have a pending I-751 since November 2021.

Me too - on the same boat: I-751 pending since Nov 2021 and N-400 being “actively reviewed” since 1 March. Seems like a never-ending episode of life. This wait is a little too much, especially after filing N-400 five months ago, as I see a large number of people already done with their N-400 within a few months.

I know exactly how you feel. My local office seems to prioritize cases filed under 5-year rule. They tend to be scheduled for an interview within 4-5 months while 3-year ones with or without a pending I-751 are taking 11+ months. Which is incredibly frustrating given that I don’t have a 10-year green card in hand and I don’t even have a 48-month extension.

Same here Seattle office shows 11 months. Applied March, actively review April. Interview scheduled June and will have interview in August. Unfortunately I have a pending 751 which has not moved in almost 2years even with the application of N-400.
