 This thread is for those filing the N-400 in February 2023.

 

My window to file opened up in November 2022 (three-year rule), but I filed it online on February 8, 2023. Received the NOA immediately on the website. Three days later, got the biometric appointment (on March 1) letter posted online (now waiting for it to arrive in mail). Also, the processing time dropped from 16 months to 8 months after they scheduled the biometrics. (My ROC is still pending and was filed in November 2021.)

Just filed today, Feb 11/23. So far, my estimated processing time is 16 months. I guess now we wait, huh?

USCIS (192 days, August 24 2011 to March 2 2012. No RFE's).
NVC (30 days, March 12 to April 11. Case expedited due to NVC errors).

Montreal US Consulate, awaiting interview date (14 days, April 12 to April 26).

05/09/2012 - medical in Toronto - passed!
05/22/2012 - interview - passed!
05/25/2012 - visa in hand!!! biggrin.png
06/09/2012 - POE @ YWG (Winnipeg Int'l Airport)

Removal of Conditions submitted March 24, 2014, received March 26, 2014

"RFE" for page 3 of application received, date March 27, 2014. Package re-submitted with all papers re-attached.

05/07/2014 - Biometrics in Charlotte, NC

11/05/2014 - APPROVED! Citizenship in 5 months!

We filed online on Feb 5th, and on Feb 11 we got a notice that fingerprints were scheduled! Once we got that notice, the time went from 19 months to 9 months ! 

 

Our I-751 that was pending since July 13, 2021 and it also changed statuses a few times. They reused our biometrics (attaching picture of I-751 timeline). 
 

 

Fingers crossed this proceeds won’t be long !!

I filed online last night so technically today.    I think my interview will be in Norfolk, VA.  It said 16 month estimated.  Are those usually accurate?  I've been here 11 years I guess I can wait another few haha!

Nice!  I need some time to study but would like this over with LOL...  I've not been looking at immigration stuff since my conditions were removed way back!!  Looking at my timeline now it all seems like a dream!  I don't even remember how to updated my signature!

mailed out the packet last Thursday 2/9 and got a text today 2/16 that they received it on 2/13 with my receipt number. Yes I filed by mail lol. Now I wait for the bio notice, hopefully they reuse it. Anyone know when can expect bio notice if filing by mail?

Hello everyone! 
 

I filed my N-400 online based on a 5 years GC on 2/15 (it says Feb 16) and got the NOA immediately after filing. Then on 2/18, I got notifications through both the USCIS and Lawfully apps that my Biometrics appointment has been scheduled for early March.

I'm not big into history either but I downloaded a couple apps to quiz me on US civics.  I'm starting to do better with them.  The one I use most is called "US Citizenship Test 2023."  It runs you through practice quizzes, it'll show you the questions and will all around help you study.  I recommend it!

I'll have to check that one out.  I've been using citizen now.  I like it.   I refuse to do any multiple choice because the questions will not be in that format.  Now I have to see if hubby can drive me to  Norfolk, I hate driving places I am not used to!

Our (my wife and I applying together) attorney mailed out packet on 2/17 and it was delivered this morning by UPS. I am not sure if we will get text notifications. We are filing from Houston!

If you filed G1145 form then you will get text or email alert once they process it. If not, then you can look out for charges on your credit card activities, usually when they charge the card is when they accepted the application. Within a few days to a week you should be getting an alert but soon after you’ll get NOA in the mail. Hope this helps!
