To replace the green card

The green card was never delivered to me (it was delivered to the wrong address). I filed an application to replace it. MyUscis says they are actively working on the case (last 4 months). My temporary passport stamp expires in about a week. What do I do since I have not received a case decision yet?

You wait.  What is you immediate concern?

I don't have a green card (physical green card). It was never delivered to me. I am worried because my passport stamp (valid for a year until you receive your card) expires in about a week. After that, I can't leave the country and come back, right?

That is correct.  Do you have international travel plans at this time?

I am planning on visiting Europe this summer. Is there anything I can do?

Get a new I551 stamp in your passport. You will need to get an appt at your field office in order to get the stamp   Take the NOA for the replacement  card with you

That should work.  My point was that unless you have travel plans, you don't really need to do anything.  If you DO, see above. 😉  Solutions depend on actual circumstances.

Agreed. So hard to give good responses unless specifics and information are given in the first post. Feel like I’m playing 20 questions  !!
