LCD, Plasma or DLP?

I am on the verge of buying a new TV. I want something that is 47" or bigger and is 1080P. I see that I can get a 56" DLP 1080P TV from circuit city for about $2100. The same size in LCD or Plasma is much more. Other than the fact the DLP's cannot be mounted on a wall are there any other reasons for looking at the LCD's or Plasma tv's?

I'm waiting for those TV's to get down to a price that's comparable to what a good TV cost 5 years ago. I bought a 20" Panasonic from Costco 5 years ago for about $200...it's got the flat style screen and the picture is beautiful. Other than wishing to see widescreen movies, I don't see any point in spending $1000 + for a TV.

Hi Gary

I like DLP. I feel it has truer colors. That is my opinion. I have a 32 LCD Vizo Great tv.

The TV your looking at is very nice. I see plasma, lcd and DLP at my work. So I feel that the DLP is nicer. It uses mirrors etc.

Good luck on your choice. If you ever need to have someone take care of it, It will my place is ready for it

So many good ones. Some of these have $200 coupons also. Luz and I went to CC yesterday and looked them all over. They are all good. I want to stay in the $2000 range but it would be nice to get one around $1700 and get a blue-ray DVD player also.

The DLP you linked to is pretty darn thin. I bet it weighs less than the plasma or LCD too.
