My fiance(canadian citizen) and I(USA citizen) would like to get married and start the CR-1 process. Our plan is her to visit the me and get married here in the next week. I got our online wedding license and were planning to do an online wedding. We decided to do an online wedding since it was more convenient rather than driving to the courthouse with witnesses(our witnesses need to join online). My question is, will there be a problem in the application if they see we got married online even tho we were in person together? From my understanding, there is some rule that she can't travel here with the intent to get married. But since I pre bought our marriage license, could they prove her intent was to get married?

Thanks.

Sorry just to be clear, traveling with intent to get married isn't a "no no"?

Correct, there’s no problem with that. It becomes a problem if the intent is to get married AND stay in the US and adjust status. That would be immigration fraud

Traveling with the intent to marry is not an issue. Traveling with the intent to get married AND adjusting status inside the US is an issue
