So, I followed the instructions for actually reaching someone at USCIS today & I called.

I told them that I hadn't received a physical NOA1 in the mail yet, and was told that she would re-submit this request and if I hadn't received it in 45 days, to call back. I am getting weary-as everyone else I am sure as well-but I'm just not knowing what to do. Tomorrow will be three FULL months since my application was received...and still no touches, no NOA1. Shall I just sit here and be impatient, or start throwing a tantrum? LOL

Advice?

Thanks a million

Who did you talk to? a customer service representative or an immigration officer? If you talked to a CSR, I wouldn't really trust anything they say or do.

Do you have a case number? If so, did you give it to the person you talked to and did they look you up in the system?

IF yes, what did they tell you about your status? Did they recieve your application (well, if you have a case number I assume it's from your cashed check wish would mean they recieved it)?

If you know they recieved your application, it is not too unusual that there are no updates or touches online, you have to wait and be patient....now if something went wrong and your application got lost, you should submit a staus inquiry

I have received a receipt notice, and can check the status online. I am just concerned because I haven't received a NOA1 yet. I was speaking with a CSR. They looked me up-and only said they would send out request to have it sent to me...she didn't really give me more info. I may try to call back in the morning and ask why I never received one and if there is any problem with my case.

You really do not need NOA1 if you were able to get your case number off your check. NOA1 is just a notice stating that they have received your petition. You WANT NOA2.

Indeed... If you have a receipt number then all is well. Now you will just have to wait for the NOA2. Many people right now are not getting their NOA2 till after 100 days. Your on target so far so no need to worry yet.
