I did, and he did, and then he dumped me and married the woman his mommy told him to.

So, no, not anymore. G. doesn't either.

No, I don't think so. There are alot of people I'm compatible with, I just me the man who is currently my fiance first. I don't know if that sounds harsh. I love him to death but I don't think we're soulmates. We're just in love and hopefully will be for the rest of our lives.

He's your first boyfriend?

No, but he is the first I've ever felt like I could spend the rest of my life with. I'm sure if I hadn't met him I'd have eventually found someone else, though. Like another poster said, there are many people that could "feel like soulmates".

I think maybe we have a number of "soul mates." Some come in to your life and teach us things and are gone, others stay...but one special person is above all the rest. Not sure if that makes sense. I know what I'm trying to say.

I agree with this.

I do believe in soul mates but I think that we can have more than one, and that we can have friends that are soul mates as well - nothing romantic.

I'm a romantic though...and super duper in love.

I'm a believer. We met on the internet and something really got me when I saw his profile (and it wasn't just that he's HOT). Within the first 2-3 e-mails, I knew there was something special about him. The first time I heard his voice, I felt like I'd come home. We just fit each other so perfectly. I'm trying to describe it, but words do not do justice to the power we feel between us.

I can translate the question somewhat differently "do you believe that God has one specific person meant for you, to be your soulmate?". As you can figure, I voted "yes".

I'm going to say 'yes' but make a comment. I agree with those who said that you can have multiple 'soul-mates' and they certainly don't have to be romantically involved. Do I think there is something more than chance that brought my husband and I together? Yes, certainly, although I won't go into too much detail here. Do I see him as my soul-mate? Yes, he is the love and support I need in my life.

Soulmate (or soul mate) is a term sometimes used to designate someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, friendship, love, intimacy, sexuality, and/or compatibility.

A related concept is that of the twin flame or twin soul – thought to be the ultimate soulmate, the one and only other half of one's soul, for which all souls are driven to find and join.

However, not everyone who uses these terms intends them to carry such mystical connotations; they are sometimes used simply as an expression of strong emotional feeling for someone.

If by soulmate you mean ''someone with whom one has a feeling of deep and natural affinity, friendship, love, intimacy, sexuality, and/or compatibility'' I not only believe but I've found mine :luv: .

I meant ultimate soulmates, as I stated in the first post.

I believe in the casual use of the term soulmates, and I think that definition leaves room for the possibility of a person having multiple soulmates.

The ultimate soulmate however, one and only one person, I don't believe in. I don't believe in destiny either, and I guess they go hand in hand. If there is only one person who is your soulmate and there are 6 some odd billion people in this world, there are very, very few people who would be able to find their soulmate.

I believe some are more compatible with others, yet I believe there are some who fit together like a puzzle, perfectly matched. Maybe that's what some call being soulmates. I dunno...I just like thinking that my husband is the one perfect for me. We have both been in other relationships, when we met it hit like lightning. We just knew. Still, I don't refer to my beloved as my soulmate. He's just the other half of me.

Karen, how is that you can express exactly what I wanted to say?? :)
