just wait for them to reschedule. they almost never tell the reason why. it can be many many reason

There are 3 main things that could be the reason: 1) Your background check has not been completed. 2) Your file (if you did not file online) has not yet reached your local field office.

Very absurd IMO — hopefully it gets done soon. I have a trip coming up in June and really want to get the passport by then.    I am really wondering if they’re understaffed or what!

Something at their end not yours .. maybe the office has been advised that their power will be down that day .., maybe several employees are going to be out for sone reason and they need to decrease the number of appointments.. no way of knowing. Nothing you can or need to do except wait for further notification

The above were split from someone else's thread in the main USC forum.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

There are 3 main things that could be the reason:

1) Your background check has not been completed.

2) Your file (if you did not file online) has not yet reached your local field office.

3)They don’t have enough staffs and still have a lot of cases before you.

 

Many other reasons may follow but these imo are the main reasons. My interview was cancelled back in September 2022, 3 hours before My interview,it was rescheduled 3 weeks later and I had My interview 51days after new date,naturalized 9 days later. I was lucky to be called on My interview day to tell Me that they were still waiting on my file and I am grateful for some members in here who told Me what to do and I was able to email some uscis agents who were kind enough to tell Me where My files were. Hang in there and be patient, you shall be hearing from USCIS soon.

Even mine was chicago. I just got notification today that my i751 was approved at the Nebraska service center. Nothing on the n400 interview being rescheduled. My n400 interview was originally scheduled for march 3rd. That got cancelled and I received a new interview date of March 6th. That got canceled about a week ago and hasn’t been rescheduled.

Are you the same person from the Facebook group. This story sounds similar to a person on another Facebook group. Anyways when did you file your I-751

My I-751 is approved as well and from Nebraska.

 

I believe Nebraska is moving now for July 2021 filers. I filed my I-751 July 15th, 2021.

 

N-400 hasn’t been rescheduled yet after being previously cancelled.

No I’m not the person from Facebook! My i751 date was 7/28/2021 and n400 filing date was 7/26/2022.

 looks like there's been a lot of approved I-751 today. Because there's like two people in the Facebook group whos n400 interview were cancelled and got their I-751today
