Aging out after being documentarily qualified

Hello all,

I have a relative who is applying for an F2A visa (Unmarried child of permanent resident under 21). Their priority date is current and everything is good to go, however they were 19 when they got documentarily qualified and have been waiting for an interview for three years, and are now 22. I've heard mixed responses, but my question simply is: if you're documentarily qualified before you turn 21, do you age out? Thanks so much.

Per NVC email, minor child when filed petition will not age out. Will be protected under CSPA law and remain child regardless.. We are still waiting for my brother for quite awhile and no interview date yet, we filed before covid and everything is good at NVC and documentarily qualified.. still waiting here no clue when interview date is coming hoping very soon!
