You have a year between official contacts.  Timing is not an issue.

Yourself is the sponsor.  If you follow the instructions and complete the section properly, the correct total will autopopulate.

I apologize for asking these very basic and seemingly unnecessary questions but my sponsor was asking me why his "household" would be considered 2 when he is single. When I first looked at the question it was quite simple: the 1 is already there for "Yourself" and then we add another 1 for Immigrant and then we total it (2) as the form states, but he sort of overthinks it. Sorry.

If he's single, no children, and never sponsored any other immigrant, then in this context his household is 2.  That's HIM and the immigrant he is sponsoring.

Yes, that's what the instructions say.  You're studying the instructions for this "most complicated form in the process" RIGHT?

Is it okay if our joint sponsor submits 2022 Tax Return Transcripts and I submit 2021 Tax Return Transcripts? He will be provided his 2022 Transcript before me.

Yes, but if you pay attention to little words like "or" you know that a complete federal tax return copy is also acceptable.  For you, the year you sponsor an immigrant is not the year to delay filing your tax return.

You are super helpful! As the main sponsor that "doesn't meet the requirements" I also wanted to ask if it would be okay for me to just state that I am "unemployed" rather than provide information about my current job that I plan to leave within the next few months. Reason being is we plan to move to the USA together and stay there. I have no long term commitments to the job that I am at now and the employer knows I plan to leave. How much of a difference does this make since I am not "meeting the requirements" either way?

NO.  It is NOT ok to lie EVER.  if a question is asked in the present tense, answer it in the present tense.  Just get the idea of saying anything untrue out of your head for good.  That's good life advice too.  It will serve you well in all aspects of life, particularly in a marriage.

Your spouse will likely be asked about your work during the interview.  If you quit, their answer should be the truth at the time of the question.  Many things COULD change between now and the interview.  It's life.

Not to be mean but if you ask again if it's ok to give an answer that isn't true, I will no longer respond.  This isn't the first time.  Please be sure it's the last.

No mail is generated by the I-864.  The immigrant will also provide current and past addresses on the DS 260.  Be accurate.  The only thing sent to an address of the immigrant is their passport with the visa in it after interview.  They will provide an address for the courier to deliver.

Answer the questions that are asked in the context and tense they are asked.

This has been a very helpful answer for us. Will we be asked to provide an address for them to send the passport with the visa when it's time, or will they use the CURRENT address that we provide them on the I-864 or DS 260?? If so, I was thinking about attaching/uploading a letter stating that if any mail were to be sent in the process that it be sent to our joint sponsor's mailing address. The reason why I am so worried about this is because we've had a social security card, amongst other things, lost in transit on the way to our current address. Your answers are highly appreciated kind sir.

You provide the delivery address to the Consulate at interview time.

Do we have to first submit the I-864 and DS 260 before we can begin working on getting the civil documents, medical examinations, and police reports? Or can we be working on those simultaneously while we prepare our financial documents?

First, the fees.  Then simultaneous.  Medical examination is in country, just before the interview.  Not part of the NVC process.

Is there a particular type of police report that we have to provide?; is there a specific name for it?

I was looking over the I-864 and I noticed I've put the USCIS Online Account number for my spouse (principal immigrant) and so has our joint sponsor. However, I believe this may actually be my account (Sponsor) since it mentions my name when I login. How can I know exactly for whom I/We should put this number?

Because if I put it under the sponsor's (me) online account number then the joint sponsor won't be able to put any account number on his form.

Specific to country.  Google Reciprocity by country.

If a person doesn't have such a number enter all zeros or leave it blank.

See above.
