Hello, I am filling-out my I-130 and I-485 ( married to a US citizen) I currently live in the US.

Question 22 :

"Your relative is in the United States and will apply for adjustment of status to that of a lawful permanent resident at the USCIS office in": I know I must list my city and state.

The second part of this question confused me

If your relative is not eligible for adjustment of status, he or she

will apply for a visa abroad at the American consular post in

My question is do I need to answer this part of the question, since I'm filing in the US?

A. Do I just answer it anyway

B. leave it blank

C. or put N/A

10/17/06 Interview day (interviewer did not have my permanent file)

10/17/06 I-130 Approval e-mail

10/18/06 I-130 and I-485 touch

10/20/06 Receive I-130 approval letter in the mail

11/20/06 Call 1-800 regarding my I-765 beyond processing time

11/21/06 I-765 Touch

11/25/06 Got letter about change of address and I-765 beyond processing time

11/28/06 I-485-Welcome Letter e-mail :), I-130 touch

11/29/06 I-485, I-130 and I-765 touch

11/30/06 I-485-E-mail- Card production ordered :)

12/01/06 I-485 Touch

12/01/06 I-765 Approve LOL, card production orderd

12/02/06 Receive Welcome letter in the mail

12/05/06 E-mail- I-765 Approval notice sent and I-485 Approval notice sent

12/06/06 EAD card finally came in the mail I-485 and I-765 touch

12/07/06 Green card came in the mail :)

11-15-2005: Sent in I-129F to VSC

11-21-2005: NOA1

11-29-2005: NOA2

12-05-2005: NVC recieved

12-17-2005: Packet 3 received from Dublin

1-11-2006: Sent packet 3 forms, etc. to Dublin

2-03-2006: Interview Date :)APPROVED!!!

2-05-2006: Flying to Logan Airport

2-11-2006: Wedding Date

3-14-2006: Filed AOS and EAD

3-22-2006: NOA1 (AOS and EAD)

4-07-2006: Biometrics

6-07-2006: EAD approved!!

7-24-2006: AOS Interview APPROVED!!!

7-27-2006: Received Welcome to America letter

8-03-2006: Green Card Received :)

I am also filling both application with my wife. She is filling I 130 and i have asked her to write name of city and country in which US embassy is located in my native country.May be i am wrong. But i do not think so it is N/A and i cannot leave it blank. Cause for example if i become ineligible for I 130 than i have to go to my native country and apply from there.

let me know if you come to know with better explanation.

--March 28,2006 Married in Naperville ,Illinois to United States Citizen

--April 5, 2006 Medical examination (I 693)+ Vaccination supplement form completed (chicago)

--April, 18,2006 AOS Package(I 130,I 485, I765)+supporting documents sent (chicago Lock Box)(DAY 1)

--May 1, 2006 BIOMETRIC APPOINTMENTS ( I 765 , I 485) received by mail for May 6, 2006

--May 6, 2006 BIOMETRICS TAKEN BY USCIS in Naperville (Day 19)

--July 21,2006 Initial Interview but waiting for FBI NAME CLEARANCE (Day 92)

--April 25, 2009 Infopass appointment to inquire my case : Result case was approved in June of 2008 but no body bothered to update my file (Day almost 610 )

--June 29 ,2009 10 year green card with date of Perm resident June 2008 received (Day almost 680 since interview )

--July 2011 Citizenship Interview :

-- Nov 2011 Oath Ceremony -US Citizen

For I-130: Just enter the answer in the local office and leave the foreign embassy stuff blank. You're not leaving the US to go the embassy, after all.

26 January 2005 - Entered US as visitor from Canada.
16 May 2005 - Assembled health package, W2s.
27 June 2005 - Sent package off to Chicago lockbox.
28 June 2005 - Package received at Chicago lockbox.
11 July 2005 - RFE: cheques inappropriately placed.
18 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-485, I-131, I-765 received!
19 July 2005 - NOA 1: I-130 received!
24 August 2005 - Biometrics appointment (Naperville, IL).
25 August 2005 - AOS touched.
29 August 2005 - AP, EAD, I-485 touched.
15 September 2005 - AP and EAD approved!
03 February 2006 - SSN arrives (150 days later)
27 February 2006 - NOA 2: Interview for 27 April!!
27 April 2006 - AOS Interview, approved after 10 minutes!
19 May 2006 - 2 year conditional green card.
01 May 2008 - 10 year green card arrives.
09 December 2012 - Assembled N-400 package.
15 January 2013 - Sent package off to Phoenix.
28 January 2013 - RFE: signature missing.
06 February 2013 - NOA 1: N-400 received!
27 February 2013 - Biometrics appointment (Detroit, MI).
01 April 2013 - NOA 2: Interview assigned.

15 May 2013 - Naturalization Interview, approved after 15 minutes.
