Montreal - Booking question (merged)

Right now, April 6/23 is up for interview.

If I book the appointment.  When would my medical be? (I was told the medical would be the week before the interview)

Thing is,  my vacation days restart April 1/23.

I dont have any vacation for the Month of March.

Also, Could I call the book for April 14/23?

I'm assuming thats not possible. ex. I don't want to call and they force me to go April 6/23 because I wouldn't be able to if they were to tell me okay well your Medical will be March 28 or whatever. I can't do anything on the dates of March. Just April Only.

I hope this makes sense in what Im saying. Any suggestions?

It's been over 6 years since I went through the process, so some of the finer details are a little hazy at this point.

That said, I remember making the appointment for the medical myself. There's an approved office in Montreal not far from the consulate. They will have the most current information on how long it'll take to get your paperwork back.

Long story short, I spent 8 days in Montreal. Had my medical the following morning after getting in, got the packet 5 days later, and flew out the day after my interview. It's a pain when you live nowhere near Montreal, but it's what it is!

*No judging. This is my first time going through this process.

How did everyone book their Medicals?

I have my Interview Appt is April 13. I do not have medical appt booked.  Im planning on going to Montreal and staying from April 3-April 14.

Montreal doesn't book that far in advance. So he suggested me to call March 31. And he said "probably" can book you for April 4-5? Is this okay? Is this enough time

I want to do all at once. As im travelling in from Manitoba. Has anyone done this before? Is this possible? Im worried.

I hear the MTL panel physician is actually the most difficult to book with least availability, and sometimes takes too long to actually submit the medicals, which leave a lot of people at interview with incomplete medicals. Personally, I wouldn’t cut it so close, and do the medical long before the actual interview date. There are 4 other physicians in Canada you can use, Mascerenhas in Toronto was pretty flexible for us and completed all the documentation in less than two weeks.
