Hello,

i am slightly freaking out and hoping someone can help me. I submitted my k1 visa application back in April of 2022. I just logged on to USCIS tonight to see that there was finally an update to our case… except this update said that they sent out a withdrawal acknowledgment notice on January 27th?!! I’m terrified because neither myself nor my fiancé have submitted a withdrawal and we’ve been waiting so long to get our noa2. This has to be an error! What can I do? I’m so scared they cancelled our application and the idea of Starting from square one is absolutely terrible as we’ve already been waiting 10 months!

has this happened to anyone else?

It must be an error.  I believe withdrawals can only happen in writing by the petitioner at this stage of immigration.  So if that was not done, they will have no record of it.

USCIS does make mistakes.

Do you have USPS informed delivery?  It's very helpful for watching to know when you're expecting a letter from USCIS.

I am trying to think of the best way forward.  Maybe others have ideas?  You could always try the "Ask Emma" chat.

Trying to get an info pass to a field office wouldn't necessarily be helpful since they won't have any connection to the petition yet.

@TBoneTX, @Mike E @Crazy Cat any ideas?

I suggest the petitioner call USCIS, say “info pass”, and request a  tier 2 officer contact the petitioner regarding your case

My mistake.  Posted under wrong thread.  Sorry.
