Thought I withdrew our application

Hi everyone, 

 

In October 2022,  I sent a letter to the California Service Center notifying them that we were withdrawing our K1 application. We decided to get married instead and go the CR1 route. Well our  K1 case got approved anyways and was sent to the NVC. In November 2022, we applied for CR1 and I included the same letter withdrawing the K1 with our application. Well, I thought this was all over with but got a message from the NVC today with our K1 case number and next steps. What do I now? How do I officially stop this K1 visa? We are already married and are waiting for the CR1.

The K-1 was withdrawn, and it was voided when you married.  You can disregard the K-1 and I-129f.  No need to worry.

This is a “do nothing and just let it die” situation.  You did what you’re supposed to do, cancelled the petition.  They’ll figure it out.

 

Or upload (1) document that cancels the case might be one way to kill it.
