So, as of April 11th, 2023, our case was in transit. Then, today as of April 13, 2023, our case status changed to ready. I believe that our ready status is just the embassy receiving our case electronically. I say this because I did the DHL hack and there was only one package sent to Israel, which is currently in Germany. As soon as our case status was in transit, we filled out the DS-160. So, the only thing left to do is wait for the embassy's instructions and schedule our interview. If anyone has information about interviews at the embassy in Jerusalem it would be much appreciated, I can't seem to find a whole lot.

Yes, we had exactly the same. At first, the status changed to "ready" while the documents were still on the way. After 1.5-2 weeks, the status update happened again, but only the date changed... Then, a few days later, the same thing happened again - only the date was updated again. And a few days later they sent me an email with instructions.

We went into transit today! 46 days after NOA2 I am OVER THE MOON right now!!!!

With the help of VJ members in another thread I was able to track my packet via DHL and it arrived at the consulate in Ecuador yesterday! (3 days)

(Reference this thread)

I am hoping to hear something from the Guayaquil consulate this upcoming week. I am apart of a Whatsapp group for Ecuadorian filers and was recently told there aren't any interviews available until July I really hope that's not true. This next step is tricky to determine but my math says on average 35 days from 'In Transit' to 'Interview Scheduled' at this specific consulate so I guess we'll see!

A little confused. Do we need to complete the DS-160 or DS-260? US Department of State website says the DS-160 is for K1 visas.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/visa-information-resources/forms/ds-160-online-nonimmigrant-visa-application.html#:~:text=The DS-160%2C Online Nonimmigrant,(fiancé(e)) visas.

 Help pls.

Also, if it's the DS-160, do we need to wait for NVC to assign a application ID number? If not, when can we fill it out? thanks

You complete DS-160. Suggest you both complete together if possible.

Thanks for getting back with me. When are we supposed to complete it? Do we have to wait for NVC to send us anything?

You can do it now. We completed once our packet was "in transit" from NVC to embassy. This was based on recommendation I read on a thread here on VJ.

How do we know where our packet is?

Have to check NVC case status on their website. Change to immigrant and enter the information.  This only works if you have your case information from NVChttps://ceac.state.gov/CEACStatTracker

If you do not have it you will have to send an inquiry using the form on their website.

Our interview is scheduled for June 21st! 2 months from tomorrow. They let me pick the date, but only had 4 dates to choose from.

Now to get all the documents in order and get his medical exam booked. I can't believe we are finally at this stage! I am going to visit him for a fourth time in just a little over a month to celebrate my 40th birthday 🥳

Hi all, I have a bit of a general question but I've been unsuccessful in finding much info on this.

We received our NOA2 on February 24th, and only last week were we able to receive our case number online from NVC after inquiring with our NOA2 letter attached. We've yet to receive the physical letter from the NVC, and when I check the case status on the CEAC website, it just says 'at NVC' - and if I check the other CEAC tracker, it just instructs me to complete the DS-160, which I have done.

But, I can't proceed with anything before receiving the letter from the NVC of course. How long has it taken you guys to receive this letter? As it is almost two months ago since our NOA2, and seeing others already being able to schedule interview dates, it makes me concerned something is off with our case.

Thank you if you guys have any insight! Excited for all of you who are finally on these very last steps, all very well deserved !

Best,

R&Y

I would just wait until the NVC status changes to "In Transit" at which point you will receive an email from NVC stating that they forwarded your case to your designated ambassy/consulate. I wouldn't worry too much; I think it was a total of 65 days that our case was at NVC. If you have a case number and can track it in CEAC that is a good sign. Also, if you haven't already you can use the public inquiry form and inquire about the status of your case. You will probably receive a generic response, but it never hurts to ask.

Damn so the consulate in Ecuador emailed us today and let us know they changed out interview date from June 21st to June 26th. Good thing we didn't book travel plans yet!
