Just checked in CEAC, our case is "ready" now!! It only took a friday + weekend to arrived in Guangzhou embassy 🚀

Next step: complete ds160, I134 form and set up appt date

We also have the problem with 2022 tax report, since my fiance just filed taxes a couple weeks ago too lol. Please let me know as well if @kcpaty @SaraClaire11 have any updates on that, I appreciate it a lot(L)

Congrats on becoming ready! We are still "in transit" despite using the DHL tracking hack and knowing our case arrived 3/21. So you would have to let me know once you start uploading your documents what tax year is required. My suggestion is since you filed already call the IRS and request if they can get your transcript sooner.

Hi all! I'm a March 2023 USCIS-NVC, so I'm just lurking. I was wondering how you all received your case number from the NVC? Did this come as a physical letter, or did you get an email?

Thanks so much!

Emily :)

I sent an online inquiry and received a response from NVC at day 32 post approval. Once it was on the way to embassy received it in email notification as well.

This is helpful, thank you!

And to confirm, you did the DS-160 once it got to the embassy? I am trying to understand if there is any paperwork I will need to do once the case is at NVC.

I actually did the DS-160 once we received our case #. My fiance and I completed using Google meet sharing screen. We are still "in transit" on CEAC though I believe the package arrived March 21 via DHL hack I learned here on VJ.

NOA2: Jan 20, 2023

The NVC sent back our case to USCIS on Mar 13, 2023. I checked our USCIS case status and it now says, “Department of State sent case to USCIS for review”.

Has anyone seen this before, or know what reason they might’ve sent it back for? My fiancé and I are very worried now, and discouraged after waiting for so long already. Some reassurance or encouragement would be appreciated. Mahalo.

I've heard of this happening recently, it's a fairly new thing. I guess USCIS forgot to stamp something is what I've heard? It could add up to 180 more days to processing time unfortunately. I hope whatever the issue is it's a quick turn around for you.

We received I-797 Notice of Action showing our case was approved February 1, 2023. The USCIS Case Status Online now shows approval was granted March 7, 2023. Can anyone explain this?

This is odd. Did you try LIVE CHAT with Emma?

Thanks for your reply. We’ll definitely give it a shot. And we’re crossing our fingers that the reason was for what you said, rather than an error on our part. If we receive an RFE after this it’s not gonna be the end of the world, but it will be a big heartbreaker.

We had received the exact same thing recently and have roughly the same timeline.  Were you able to find anything else out?

Hello! So, I have my invoice ID and Case number from the public inquiry form, but I never received a welcome letter from NVC. When I check my visa status it just says "At NVC". What do I need to do? Do I need to wait for instructions from NVC? Or do I need to start submitting documents and start to fill out things like the DS-160? Any help would be appreciated!
