Hello, I’m a beneficiary from Pakistan. We applied for our k-1 visa and got approved in Oct 2022. We just received our embassy letter that they are ready to schedule an appointment. The problem is our four months since our petition approval expire on feb 19th 2023 and we are afraid that we might not be able to schedule an appointment because we are still getting the documents ready. 

How do we extend our application for at least another month? I’ve seen posts on the topic before but they are mainly for during covid-19 restrictions. Thank you in advance!

Typically, the consulate automatically extends the validity of the I-129F approval for up to a year.  For your peace of mind, you may contact the consulate directly to request an extension, so you will have an email trail.
