Have been in and out of Costa Rica twice with expired card...no issues at all. Didn't even ask to see it. I assume the level of scrutiny you get is based on the passport you are traveling on.

That's true. My wife holds an Indian passport, and I am quite certain it will not help. We are planning to travel to Chile, i just wish the i751 process was quicker 🥲, so she could user her GC to travel.

Over 6 months just receipt notice and nothing...🐛

March filer here and same deal. All I am seeing is dates blowing out further and further for processing. I am anticipating a decision in early 2025 based on the current climate. And who knows what will happen if Trump or another hardliner gets elected next year.

You are still on just case received? Not even the "actively being reviewed" ? None of this process makes any sense at all.

No, no movements at all. It has been at "Case Was Received" since it was filed.

ROC is averaging to almost three years now. Don't expect movement anytime soon, unfortunately. Maybe around the one year mark...

And if you plan to file for citizenship, do so as soon as you are eligible.

No updates to my case as well. I am just chilling while waiting until I will eligible to apply for citizenship in January. Citizenship processing takes 2-4 months these days.

In my area, the citizenship takes 9.5 months, based on USCIS Processing Times tool. I can apply in January 2024 as well, so probably by the end of next year this journey will be over.

That's very optimistic. I'd say 6-9 months, especially with I-751 pending. But yeah, if my ROC wasn't approved recently I would have applied for N-400 soon.

I have looked VisaJourney N400 timelines and and it looks like the whole process takes a couple of month. Also I talked to a lady another night who just had Oath ceremony August 24th, she applied in May 2023. Another friend also told me it was fast for her.  Plus 2024 is an election year so they will make it even faster. So will see🙂

Do we have to wait until May 17th, 2024 (3 years) to apply for N400, or can we do that 90 days before, just like we did for I-751 (Feb 17th)?"
