My husband and I just DQ’d yesterday (2/8/23). I’ve been hearing a 5 month wait time recently but I can’t remember from where I heard that.

Congrats on being DQ'D. I've been DQ'D since  12/3/22 and waiting.

Where did you see this at? And I’m sure they will get caught up soon. They don’t want to get too far behind

Have you gotten any news?

I just got my interview letter last Thursday! My interview is scheduled for the beginning of May. Super excited and thankful that this process is almost over and that my husband will be home soon

Any update on your interview yet? It makes me sick to think we have to wait months longer when we've already gone through lots of waiting.

Yes I got my interview letter on March 16. Our interview is for beginning of May. I know it is discouraging and frustrating but hang in there. I know it is hard but the reward is so much greater

Has anyone heard recently of anyone getting interview dates down there and have info on what types of visa or corresponding DQ dates? I am considering doing an expedite request but want to get a better picture of just how buried this embassy is before I put the effort/money into it.

Any updates?

Hey just an update for anyone who is looking for info, we are EB3 and we (the petitioner) reached out to their local congressman's office who reached out to NVC and the Embassy on our behalf. The NVC confirmed that they only approve expedites for life and death situations or the welfare of a child which is helpful for anyone considering that route. The embassy confirmed that for EB3 (our category), they are currently working on cases that DQ''ed in May 2022. We DQ'ed in early Sept 2022 so hopefully that may help some of you get an idea of where they are in their back log. Good luck everyone

Thanks! Great info! It makes sense then. I DQ'ed in late August 2022 and still waiting. How did you ask the embassy about which cases they are currently working on?
