Hello VJ community,

How long is the U.S. Embassy in the Dominican Republic taking to "schedule" (technically NVC) interviews in 2023? I read that it is between 2-6 months.

We are EB3, been DQ since September 13, 2022, still nothing yet. I have been trying to get a link to a WhatsApp or Facebook group where people may be discussing dates, I am curious to see anyone elses dates or how far back some people are still waiting. I want to try to get a guess together for how big their backlog is. They have been processing 4000-5000 immigrant visas per month according to the visa statistics.

If anyone has a link to any active WhatsApp or Facebook group can you please share it with me or message it to me?

We are on the same boat, but EB2 and August 2022. Most posts are for K1 and other type of visas (family-related).

Has anyone heard recently of anyone getting interview dates down there and have info on what types of visa or corresponding DQ dates? I am considering doing an expedite request but want to get a better picture of just how buried this embassy is before I put the effort/money into it.

My mom’s case have been documentarily ready at NVC since 09/26/2022 and I have gotten an appointment date in Santo Domingo 😭. I’m a usa citizen and it’s taking forever. If anyone has a what’s app group for this please let me know.

I'm in the same situation with my spouse case was documentarily approved by nvc on 09/21/2022and now interview yet.

It looks like the Embassy has some backlog issues. Would be nice to know the longest that someone has waited for an interview.

Where did you see this at? And I’m sure they will get caught up soon. They don’t want to get too far behind
