In one of the K1 FB groups, someone with a non-expedited case with a NOA1 of October 2022 received their NOA2 today... I don't even know how they process cases anymore lol

Hmm. Bimodal? Maybe they're thinking that since they are catching up slowly, might as well get the last in, first out as well and then at some point be done with the backlog? I have no idea anymore. That strategy would definitely bring them to 6 months wait time faster because the wait time would be much less for someone filing now

Yeah I dunno either. Only case I've seen from California early though so it seems a rogue one. I really hope it doesn't vary crazy. I'd love for others to get it asap, just not me. I can't get a NOA2 within next 6 months without chaos 💀

Maybe? It will be worth keeping an eye on if it is an outlier or if we see a trend in cases filed ~6/mo ago getting their NOA2. I will say it caused a heated discussion in the FB group lol. Very frustrating process to say the least.

Also yup I know I'm an outlier, I applied expecting a yr+ and have a lot going on so can't have the timeline shortned too much 💀 10-11months for NOA2 would be ace but sooner and oh no

Honestly I'm kind of with you – I'm on a working holiday in Canada right now and am counting on the NOA2 taking at least another half a year, so I can get back to the UK for processing without losing too much of my time here. Also I love predictability, which is to say this entire process is already messing with me! I do not need it to mess with me more.

Just remember that even if you get your NOA2 or K1 earlier than expected, you won't have to make use of it right away since it'll be valid for 6 months from the point you had your medical.

Yeah my issue is I need at least 3 of those 6 months to put in notice at work and my apartment etc so the time is mostly spoken for already 😂

Main issue is I just started a new job and need some experience and money before I move. Also exhausted, not ready to pack up again as just moved to this country.

Yeah predictability is what I really need. This seeming randomness is too much!

Agreed. Better than what we’ve been seeing historically. Trying to stay optimistic.

Yeah me too. Hopefully Monday will bring a “final” count with a higher number.

Better than decent because it was still at a pace to cut into the backlog. The past 7 weeks we have seen them process 5,745 cases. The 7 weeks prior to that, they processed 3,581. That is a 60% increase. To put it into another perspective, this week had 250+ more cases processed than at anytime in 2022. #perspective lol
