I-864 clarification

For 2006 and 2007 I meet the sponsorship requirements for two people easily. In 2004 and 2005 I would not have (grad school.)

I am just trying to confirm that the most recent year is the year they use for adjudication purposes. I have assets, but if line 24c on the form is all they use, I won't bother including them.

YES they only consider the most recent year.

If your income is sufficient by it self, you are not using a joint sponsor, and are only sponsoring 1 immigrant, consider using I-864EZ, it specifies using only past year IRS return, and recommends using a tax transcript.

Thanks. Then we're good to go. I have the tax transcript and the W-2s/1099s. Just wanted to make sure I didn't have to make up for 2004 (eek.)
