Honestly, I don't understand why it takes so long.  I work for the federal government and we're very efficient as software engineers, however we're contracted, sort of, it's a really weird situation.  As you probably know Crazy Cat, there used to be waterfall, but the new trend is Agile... maybe some innovation needs to go into their workflow...  I don't know, I did see where they were supposed to start speeding things up by the end of 2023.  We'll see.

I've never been married and we have no kids. My interview was 510 days from the initial NOA1 date.

 

You might get lucky but it's generally a long process. Good luck.

Same here but today is day 531 just waiting for RFE approval. There is no sense to this madness. It will be well over 600 days before interview for us!
