i dont think that leases with our names on it will be possible. we can meet and get married. it seems like that might be the better option instead of just meeting and tyring to apply for this k1 im guessing?

I haven't been around that long, but I very rarely see cases where I think K1 is worth it. ESPECIALLY if you have already decided to get married.
Regardless, you'll need proof of your relationship, or you'll be hit with scrutiny at just about every turn best case scenario, or worst case scenario you get hit with a never ending chain of RFE's until you can provide substantial evidence.

You don't HAVE to provide leases, it just fit our situation so we were able to. There are plenty of folks approved on here who hadn't lived together physically.

I'd focus on meeting her SOMEWHERE and documenting that as well as you can but don't expect that to be ample evidence.
If I were a USCIS agent, just one trip wouldn't be enough for me, but I'm not, so my opinion doesn't matter.

shes willing to convert to Christianity

It wouldn't hurt, except if she tried to return to Iran.

06-04-2007 = TSC stamps postal return-receipt for I-129f.

06-11-2007 = NOA1 date (unknown to me).

07-20-2007 = Phoned Immigration Officer; got WAC#; where's NOA1?

09-25-2007 = Touch (first-ever).

09-28-2007 = NOA1, 23 days after their 45-day promise to send it (grrrr).

10-20 & 11-14-2007 = Phoned ImmOffs; "still pending."

12-11-2007 = 180 days; file is "between workstations, may be early Jan."; touches 12/11 & 12/12.

12-18-2007 = Call; file is with Division 9 ofcr. (bckgrnd check); e-prompt to shake it; touch.

12-19-2007 = NOA2 by e-mail & web, dated 12-18-07 (187 days; 201 per VJ); in mail 12/24/07.

01-09-2008 = File from USCIS to NVC, 1-4-08; NVC creates file, 1/15/08; to consulate 1/16/08.

01-23-2008 = Consulate gets file; outdated Packet 4 mailed to fiancee 1/27/08; rec'd 3/3/08.

04-29-2008 = Fiancee's 4-min. consular interview, 8:30 a.m.; much evidence brought but not allowed to be presented (consul: "More proof! Second interview! Bring your fiance!").

05-05-2008 = Infuriating $12 call to non-English-speaking consulate appointment-setter.

05-06-2008 = Better $12 call to English-speaker; "joint" interview date 6/30/08 (my selection).

06-30-2008 = Stokes Interrogations w/Ecuadorian (not USC); "wait 2 weeks; we'll mail her."

07-2008 = Daily calls to DOS: "currently processing"; 8/05 = Phoned consulate, got Section Chief; wrote him.

08-07-08 = E-mail from consulate, promising to issue visa "as soon as we get her passport" (on 8/12, per DHL).

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

shes not particularly attached to islam. we are both the same age. shes willing to convert to Christianity, however in this day and age that probably doesnt go for much.

That’s not what I mean.   What I mean is that a major difference in religion could be a red flag, especially if she ends up interviewing in Armenia or Turkey.   I believe that non-Muslim men are not allowed to marry Muslim women, and the US consulates are aware of such social norms.

Start saving your money now, and look for a joint sponsor.

Travel and US immigration cost thousands and thousands of dollars.   And all the fees are about to go up.

believe you me i am saving as much as i can. and i am aware that this next decade is going to be absolutely brutal barring a major shift in worldwide behavior and rhetoric.

armenia is a Christian country is it not? i know theres a sizeable population there but isnt it the home of one of the oldest enclaves of Christianity in the world?

edit: also another point for ecuador. are there no kinds of programs for refugee related status? it seems if shes was a young man moving for economic reasons it wouldnt be so hard *major eyeroll*.

Meeting would be a good start

You’re missing my point.   Social/religious/cultural norms are seen through the lens of the beneficiary’s country of origin when it comes to US immigration.   She will be an Iranian citizen interviewing in another country because the US does not have diplomatic relations with Iran.

Searching Bonafide evidence in the search bar will pull up hundreds of posts from other folks recommending as well as sharing what they submitted. Here's an example:

I-130 Evidence of Bona Fide Marriage - IR-1 / CR-1 Spouse Visa Process & Procedures - VisaJourney

There's no RIGHT evidence, you just have to prove your relationship to the person working on your case. You can get creative, but my case was fairly cut and dry so I can't provide too much help.

I agree with the others:   Meet first.   All of the rest of this is years away.   Best bet is to meet and spend as much time together as possible.   Multiple meetings would be good.   Save all documentation related to those meetings.

Though the best advice you'll get on this thread, you've already gotten. Go meet your fiancé and spend some time together. You've got a long way to go before you'll be able to provide sufficient evidence.

Edit because I just noticed: Roll Tide.

One visit can be enough, if it's long enough.   You can visit again between filing and interview.  All this costs money you don't have though, so put on your big boy pants and get practical.

I've been to Ecuador.  Like anywhere it depends where you go and Equador has some great places, but my trip to Ecuador was maybe one of the sketchier trips I ever made and I've been to allot of sketchy places.  I wouldn't drop off a loved one there unless I had a very high level of understanding of the local neighborhood security situation was.  As destinations go, I would say Equador requires a higher level of situational awareness than allot of places.  I totally get wanting to get someone out of Iran but Ecuador would be way low on the list. (Apologies to any Ecuadorians here, I really did enjoy visiting your beautiful country). The Armenia idea seems better.  Yeah the have problems now but it's not everywhere and there is an Iranian community there.
