AOS increase... and timing on mailing it in

OK.. I am about to mail in the AOS papers.. but I realised I forgot my wedding cert today..

BUT my question being... If i mail it tomorrow.. 7/24/07.. Will i still fall within the before 7/30/07??

can it be post marked before the 30th?

I know they take time Opening.. and processing....

I am going to mail my AOS and EAD 7/24/07. Gathering all the documents today. I have to run to the copier machine to do all the copies. Just stop by and saw this post. It makes me feel not alone and very confident now.

Guess i'm in the same boat as a few of you. I sent in my I765 in may and had my biometrics done on that. so now I'm rushing to fill out the I864 and Aos. OMG good luck.

I see we're not alone in trying to beat the fee rush. I'd been getting most of my help from the ImmigrationPortal.com forums, but their site's been down since yesterday. I barely managed to save up what we need for this AOS package; there's no way we could afford the new fees.

The fee hike really amazes me. It does nothing but punish those who are trying to immigrate the RIGHT way.

I post a topic with this very same concerns. Well thank heavens, I wasn't the only one. Our target mailing date is 7/25 but I guess it will be 7/26 as I have to see the civil surgeon on that day to have all my immunization records transcribed to vaccination supplement form. Hopefully, we can charm the surgeon's nurse on that day and allow us to wait for it to be done instead of making us come back after 2 weeks. Otherwise, we'll be in trouble. If worse comes to worst, we'll mail our AOS without that supplement and expect for RFE. The cost of complying with the RFE in a later date is a lot cheaper than $1,010 fee hike. I'm being optimistic here and I hope my optimism will prevail.

Have you already done a TB test with your civil surgeon, Mae? That takes an additional two days, bear in mind.

I had my TB skin test done at the city health dept yesterday (even my TD shots week ago) to save a lot of money. When we called the Civil Surgeon's office to make an appointment, we were told that it will cost at least $175 just to have all my immunization records transcribed to I-693A. Outrageous! But we were also told that if somebody will do the transferring of all the records for us, we can won't have to pay that much since all the civil surgeon needs to do is sign and date it and then place it in a sealed envelope. Hopefully, we can have all of these done tomorrow. Otherwise, I will have to mail the AOS packet without that supplemental page and anticipate an RFE.
