Hi there! How did your interview go? Did they receive your medical exam on time? One question on the exam - do they check for Covid vaccinations or does the embassy check that rather than the doctors medical exam. My baby is just getting his first dose today, but apparently needs two doses.

Just done with my medical. The doctor checked for the covid vaccinations.

The doctor will determine if you or your baby require any vaccinations. After the medical exam with the doctor, you will get the vaccinations by a nurse.

If you want to save money, get a flu vaccine elsewhere before the appointment and bring along the vaccine certificate. I recently got a free flu vaccine via my company's health plan. The doctor would have ordered for a flu vaccine if I haven't had one in the past 6 months.

In total I paid S$ 702 at IMC Camden.

Prices excluding GST in SGD

$330 ‐ medical exam

$116 - chest x-ray

$75 + $17 - 2 blood tests

$112 - TDap vaccine booster

Wow, that is pricey! Did they charge extra for being a new patient? I recall IMC charged me extra on my first visit (many years ago).

Assume the Tdap vaccine could also be done outside for cheaper too!

I dont think they charged me extra as a first time patient. At least I hope not

Yeah I imagine tdap could be cheaper outside. I would have done it elsewhere if I knew it was so expensive. The doctor showed me the vaccination requirements chart. If I recall, if you've not had tdap in the last 10 years, you'll need one.

Do you know how long does it take for the medical exam to be sent to the Singapore Consulate?

Originally mine was on 13th March. They brought it into 10th.  Its not based on the interview date. Bcs it takes around 10 days to reflect on embassy's system. Even for me, i dont think it will reflect during my interview time.

Hello, can you please update us on your application?

I believe your Medical was done on March 10, and the Consulate Interview was scheduled for March 15.

Did your medical make it in time for the Consulate interview? Thanks!

@MJ21 did you manage to get the medical appointment? IMC camden called me yesterday and gave me an appointment for the coming Tuesday!

Yeah, we set the appointment for 17th of April, it’s the day before the interview. We had no choice as the baby’s Covid vaccine won’t be done till 14th April. We would rather notify the embassy and attend the interview on the scheduled date with the pending medical exam than try to reschedule given the uncertainty on dates.

My understanding is that the typical lag is due to the wait time on blood test results etc, but I imagine the E filing should be instantaneous once submitted. But in general it sounds like we should expect 5-10 business days between medical exam and embassy receiving results.

The Montreal embassy advices to complete the medical exam 4 working days prior to interview, and IMC says the medical exam should be ideally done 10 calendar days ahead, but no explicit advice from SG embassy.

My medical was on 21 March. The blood test results was sent to me later that night. The Dr then informed me on 23 March that they have sent my medical results to embassy and that my chest x-ray was normal.

Do you know if we are able to bring our own quantiferon gold for TB done recently, and our own blood tests? Thanks.

Is IMC Candem the only one that can process e-filing at the moment?

My wife was F2A. DQ in December 2022, but we had a mess up on our doc submission, should have DQ May last year. Looks like they are following the priority order of IR > Family > EB. We transferred from Montreal embassy, it’s one of the most backlogged embassies, but it’s one of the few that posts which DQ dates they are interviewing currently. Their current post from Mar 7th says they are processing Family preference cases from Sep 2022, and Employment cases from Jan 2021. That sounds extreme, but it’s one of the most backlogged, and Singapore is the fastest.

If you're F2A, are you guys affected by the recent retrogression in April 2023 visa bulletin?

Are you flying from Canada to Singapore for the interview? How many days are you allocating for the medical, interview, and after interview?

6 months after my DQ in Oct 2022, I have finally received my IL for May 10 2023. I will be in a similar situation as you. Flying from USA to Singapore. But I don't know how long I have to allocate to get these things done, as I will have to use my vacation time...

Thank you. Did the doctor mention how long it takes for the Consulate to receive the medical exam after they send it?

Do you know which 2 blood tests were ordered? Quantiferon Gold for TB? Syphilis? Gonorrhea?
