You learned exactly what USCIS warns - never book travel or get rid of a property until you have the visa in hand.  I don't honestly think the CO's have any real idea of timelines.  They're just along for the ride, like us laypeople.

Fingers crossed your case gets tidied up under a truncated timeline!

Thanks!!! ☺️

Hi all,

Had my FB4 immigrant visa interview at montreal on Jan 10, 2023. I was approved on the spot in 2 minutes and was told that my passport should return in 2 weeks. On CEAC it shows "refused" the day of the interview.. I understand that it's probably administrative processing. I was never given a 221g or a refusal only a "I intend to approve". Our passports are still at the consulate. Is anyone in a familiar situation?

Hey there!
Any news on your side? I'm also stuck in AP since Jan,22... ://

My interview was on Jan,22nd (CR1). I got approved on the spot, but they kept my passport while waiting for my medical to be sent to them. They also told me that it might only take a few days to process, but it's now week 4 (they received my medical on Jan,24), and my status still shows REFUSED.

Last action was on Feb,6th.

Is anyone in the same situation or has an idea of how longI should start to panic? 😩

I had my interview today, the woman at the window said she saw everything with my medical was fine. Noted the expiry date of the medical to me - this is my proof it was there. I also got an email Saturday that it was sent electronically by the immigration dr.

Got to the interview window, interviewer said he couldn't see it. I got 221g. He told me not to freak out, that it's a formality, but I could go ahead and celebrate.

My question is how tf can the woman at the window see my medical but the moment it matters in the interview he can't see it? I want to take his word, but wondered if anybody else ever had a similar experience as well.
