Adding my timeline here, this morning I just got the Welcome Letter from NVC together with the IV fee invoice, I just paid for the fee and waiting for the payment to go through. Hopefully it'll be fast. @pilot787 May I ask if I can send the docs to NVC before the payment is confirmed or before the DS260 form is completed? And how long did it take for you to DQ after you send the docs to NVC?

still no news on our interview date, unfortunately... WE sent documents after we filled out DS260. Not sure what are the rules about that. I think it took us around a month to hear back, because we had to send an additional document.

I see, thanks! So I guess it takes roughly 2 weeks for them to do (one round of) review. I just completed the DS260 and I sent my civic docs to the address in Virginia, did you also send your docs there as well? It's a bit weird that it's a Virginia address, while the NVC is located in Portsmouth, NH....

I rmb, it was a bit weird, cause the website was showing one address and the e-mail instructions were giving a totally different one. I think we mailed everything to the one, given in the welcome letter.

Yes, exactly, I got the two different addresses one in the welcome letter (VA), and one in the CEAC website (NH), it was confusing.. Good to know that sending to VA worked!

Hi @pilot787, may I ask after you are DQ'ed, do you see anything changed in your CEAC page? I think EB cases don't have the CEAC "message" section as the FB cases do. But is there anywhere that says "Documentarily complete" or something similar to indicate that you are DQ'ed?

Hey! no, from now on, it will show only where it is located, like in NVC, until it leaves for the embassy.. We still haven't received our interview.  Looks like spouse visas are only 1 month wait..

Thank you! I just got DQ'ed last week. So you've been waiting for 2 months for an interview date? I read in a previous post of yours that you got an email from NVC that you are in queue awaiting an interview on Jan 12. Has your case been sent to Paris embassy already? Or is it still at NVC? Two months is a long time of waiting already... Plus,, I'm born in China so I also need to wait for the visa bulletin to be current first :(, but I didn't know to get an interview in Paris needs waiting too..

Yeah, they sent us an e-mail on the 12th saying that we are just waiting for the interview date. yesterday they sent another 2month e-mail, that they didn't forget about us. I saw on this forum, that it was 6-7 weeks waiting for Eb visa interviews in summer. you don't have French citizenship, or it's based on where you were born? Do you know when it's going to get current?

Thanks for the info! Hopefully you'll get the interview letter soon! Yes, the bulletin is based on one's citizenship at birth and it doesn't matter if one changed citizenship later. I heard that most likely in October or even later, the cut off date will move forward. Fingers crossed!!

By the way, I heard from another platform that at other embassies, once you get your interview letter, it's possible to contact the embassy directly to ask them the progress of your case status (after NVC sends it to them), some people heard from the embassy when their case actually arrived, and that after their case arrived, it still took the embassy 2 months to do a "pre-interview processing" for their case.

Correction: It should be after their case status becomes "Ready", it's possible to contact the embassy directly to ask them the progress of the case status.
