Bringing the rest of the family

My wife has been here almost 8 months now.  Life is good but now she wants to bring some family, mainly her daughter, son in law and their only child of 14 years old.  The child has a great talent that needs to be fostered and trained or educated more might be a better way of saying it.  The school here in the US agrees and is accepting her at their school and has written her an admissions letter for the school.  It's a prestigious school.

So now the intensive work begins but I don't know where to start and what to do. I don't have the time to research it as I work way too many hours right now.   If you have good suggestions, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance,  T Town Hombre

Assuming that your wife is a green card holder, there is no way (yet) for her to sponsor her married daughter. Green card holders can only sponsor their spouses and unmarried children. Unfortunately for her, she’ll have to wait until she naturalizes to even think about sponsoring them (and it won’t be quick)…

Wife has a green card but is not a citizen yet.  Daughter is married and has one child.  I don't make enough money to sponsor all three of them.  My wife's sister is a citizen but is a royal pain.  She won't do the paperwork but wants me to do the paperwork her way which will be wrong, and it won't fly. (Was the reason I asked so many stupid questions for my wife's paperwork because of the sister's interference.)

The daughter can petition for the granddaughter after immigrating if the granddaughter remains unmarried.

If I do the paperwork and turn it over to her to sign and file, will that work?  I remember there is an area in the applications I filled out that askes who prepared the paperwork.  Then the question becomes timeline for that way.

What paperwork?  Where does your wife's sister fit in the chart I posted above?

There isn't a chart posted.  There is a link to something I am unable to access.

Rather not say. But believe me not in a positive way.

Doesn't really matter though as the SIL has no standing to petition for a niece.  Regardless, others have laid out the timing involved, and it is lengthy.  My wife recently (2 years ago) petitioned for my step-son who is a married adult, so we are in for a long wait.

Good Luck!

Oh, it is clear, to me, that the sister wants to commit fraud. Fraud is not condoned here.  Misrepresentation is a serious matter which could result in severe legal penalties.
