AOS processing fee and IV processing fee separately or combinely (merged)

My parents I-130 have been approved now when I log into CEAC then it asks for two separate fees one of the AOS and second is for an IV processing fee. I would like to pay an AOS processing fee first and submit its related forms and documents, then pay for IV processing fees and its related documents and forms. Is that going to create any problem?

Nothing is gained by doing them separately.  Tou can do it, but NVC will not review until all AOS and IV items are submitted.

You probably will create more problems if you combine them.

You can pay separately and complete them separately, that is up to you - like SteveInBoston says, NVC won't review the case until everthing is submitted.  Also be aware, in terms of planning:

For both AOS and the Immigrant Visa

- after you pay the fee, you won't be able to submit anything until the status reads PAID (that's maybe 24 to 48 hours, depending on your bank)

AOS

- When you add your AOS stuff and a Household Member, neither of you can add supporting documents until the link appears next to your name (another 24 hour wait or so)

Immigrant Visa

- you won't be able to submit ANY civil documents until the DS-260 has been completed and submitted - I would not recommend attempting to hurry that up, however - you need to review the entire form ro make sure there are no errors - because once the DS-260 and supporting docs are submitted and marked as Accepted, the DS-260 is locked. You can only edit it if you request NVC to unlock the form.

Hello guys how are you? I paid an AOS fee for my mom and dad cases a few days ago. Tanscations went through smoothly and I noticed that money was withdrawn from my bank account, but the website / system still does not give option to upload financial documents. Additionally, on NVC website payment status still. Being shown as "in the process".Can't we upload documents separately for AOS and IV process? Do you guys think that the way system/process works1704206623_Screenshot2023-02-01at8_21_11AM.thumb.png.0fb4e3199faa4e9cd441152e3b3cf548.png, we need to pay for both "AOS and 'IV process" first before system allowing us to upload documents for both categories? I was trying to pay and upload documents for AOS first, but so far website says "payment in process"

1. Each section can be done separately

2.  It can take a few days for their system to update after payment is made.  I think for us it took 3 days.

Both fees have to be in PAID status before you can upload anything. Your status should change soon.

In the meantime, you can start completing the I-864 and collecting supporting documents for both the AOS and the IV application.
