Good afternoon great team of this forum ( This is a great resource )

I submitted my I-751 in Jan 2021 ATL , had my interview 18 days ago, the interview takes like 20 min IO said all is fine that I will get my green card in the mail. But till date no status change, I called the uscis they said no status has change and they can see any approval or  card send to production. I am confused because my green card extension will expire in 40 days. Should I schedule info pass for a stamp or wait and see what next. I am just tired.  Did the IO lied to US I just do not know what is going on. No major questions was asked during the interview and no RFE since I submitted my application.

ROC is simply a pain.  At this point, I would wait, then if you don’t hear anything within 30 days of your extension letter expiring and you have the need of an ADIT stamp to show your LPR status (changing jobs, traveling internationally, etc.), you can attempt to get one.

Beyond that, as with most things with USCIS, patience is a virtue.

Good Luck!

IO probably didn't lie, he approved it, and depending on how long he was there, it may need reviewed by a more senior person. You may want to get a stamp if travel is in your future, but I would give it a month for a status update, or 3 weeks minimum. You will get the update if you signed up for text messages and email. When my wife and I did her AOS interview, by luck of the draw we got the Big cheese, head of office, numeral Uno according to the translator with us as he has seen everyone in the office, and very rarely does anyone interview with this guy. Same thing, 20 minute interview, said all is good, and you will have your green card in your mailbox in a week. I think he saw my expression of doubt with the card arriving in a week, but he reassured me it would. Sure enough, on the drive home, I got the approval notice, green card being produced notice all within 45 min of leaving the office. Green card was in the mailbox exactly 7 days later. So, I think it depends on who does the interview, and their level in the office as to if things have to be reviewed again after interview.

Too soon to worry.

Set up usps informed delivery.

Cards do sometimes arrive before the status has changed.

Lesson leaned: if an ISO says you are approved, slide your passport over and ask for an I-551. The answer will say if you are actually approved or not.

Yes, IO asked me if I wanted a stamp or the card I said the card I was thinking it will take 7 days max, and she return my passport when I said the card she said you will get it in the mail, she even asked me why I haven't got a stamp I said  because my interview was coming and I decided not too she said okay and she return my passport otherwise she wanted to stamp me.

She said you can have the stamp or the green card but not both?

That I did not ask.

That is unclear , I think I failed to ask clarifying questions because I was exited when she said you will get the card in the mail that throw me off balance and I lost my common sense to ask more questions
