Courier-In Authorization Certificate Question

My fiancée and I had our visa interview on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at the US Embassy in Paris.  Our application was rejected under 221(g) because we need to submit two additional police reports. The rejection is not bad, the Embassy said it's more of a formality.  We just have to provide the two additional police reports and they will issue the visa to her.  However, submitting the two additional police reports is not 100% clear.  On the Yatri site (/ais.usvisa-info.com/...), we had to select an option that indicates we are to provide additional documents to the Embassy.  Once we selected through a few windows, the final window reads as follows:

You must courier your documents into the U.S. Consular Section. Please gather the requested documents and generate a "Courier-In Authorization Certificate" by clicking the "View Courier-in receipt" button below. Include a copy of these instructions in the list of documents you send to the Consular Section.

When you select the "View Courier in-receipt" button, there are instructions for mailing the additional documents. The instructions include "This certificate authorizes [[Insert Applicant's name here]] to use the designated CSRA courier to deliver supporting visa application documents to the United States Paris Consulate free of charge."

Few questions:
1) Has anyone had to mail additional documents via the courier service before?

2) Do you have to use the courier service? Or can you just mail the documents to the US Embassy without using the courier service?

3) The instructions say "[p]ut the 'Postreponse' information on the address side of the envelope.  Mention this information and ONLY this information on the address side of the envelope: Ambassade des Etats-Unis / Service des Visas Autorisation XXX 75 385 Paris Cedex 08" - this question, may be obvious, but what exactly is the Postreponse?  Are we supposed to cut out the barcode, applicant name, visa class, CSRA ID, DS-160 Number, and Destination from the courier certificate and tape it on the front of the envelope?  I may not be reading this accurately, and I am to only put the French address (above in bold) on the address side of the envelope, as the instructions mention.

Thanks for your help!

Craig
